Request

Please add dark mode support to the Codex desktop app, ideally with an Appearance setting for:

• System
• Light
• Dark

Why

Most of my development environment is dark themed. When I switch from my editor, terminal, browser, or other dev tools into Codex, the bright app surface is jarring and uncomfortable during longer work sessions.

It would be especially helpful for late-night use and for users with light sensitivity.

Expected behavior

Codex should either follow the operating system appearance automatically or allow the user to choose dark mode manually.

Current behavior

I do not see a dark mode/theme option in Codex desktop app settings.

You can configure this in the "Appearance" settings panel.

Thanks - strange, even though my Mac sets everything to dark/light on a schedule, Codex seems to not listen to that event. I have it set to System in the Appearance settings panel but it doesnt respond.

I've done this but it does not follow my Mac's system setting.
