What steps can reproduce the bug?

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Launch VS Code and open a new terminal.
  2. Type codex to enter the environment.
  3. Use keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste content.
    VS Code Version: 1.118.1

What is the expected behavior?

When launching the Codex CLI within VS Code, copying text or links from an external source and pasting them into the Codex input field does not work—only the letter 'v' appears. However, if I launch Zsh independently, copying and pasting function normally.
