Codex does close when app closed

What issue are you seeing?

When I close the Codex app using the x on the Codex windows it doesn't shut down, but remains lurking on my system.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Open Codex.
Press the 'x' in the title bar.
Check Task Manager and note that the process hasn't closed

What is the expected behavior?

Codex app closes when standard close action is initiated by user.
If remaining active might be desirable then this should be a user configurable option.

Codex verdict:

So: probably not user-configurable yet, unless your current build has an undocumented toggle. And yes, “close means hide in tray” is a deeply annoying choice when it’s not opt-in.
