What variant of Codex are you using?
Codex MacOS App
What feature would you like to see?
Slight UX tweak:
I would like to assign personality to the type of work mode. To use current parlance, I'd want "for coding" to default to 'pragmatic' and "for everyday work" to default to 'friendly' automatically when I switch modes.
I can also possibly see value in a quick toggle to change modes along with that personality tied to the mode when I make a new chat.
Personal Agent: A concept for codex to reorient itself to operate as a literal local and personal agent with a third personality option tied to the "personal agent" work mode that calls a custom personality the user defines above and beyond the global agents.md in /Users/userID/.codex/AGENTS.md.
Could take this a step further and allow codex to call a specific agents.md file as per work mode as well.
I think 3 work modes and personalities is a great start and can iterate from there depending upon response from community.
