What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
Version 26.506.31421 (2620)
What subscription do you have?
Pro
What platform is your computer?
macOS
What issue are you seeing?
I have the global dictation button set to right-cmd.
However, right-cmd can be used for many other shortcuts when pressed with other keys in other apps. For example, I use cmd-left/right to change iTerm2 sessions. It's common to hold cmd and press left, left, left, or left, right and so on without lifting the cmd key. When I use such shortcuts, the Codex dictation activates.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Set dictation key to right cmd. Use right cmd in apps that support it such as Safari by holding cmd and pressing left/right to go back/forward. Hold the key, press left or right, then continue to hold it for an extended period while occasionally pressing left/right.
What is the expected behavior?
If the dictation key is 'right cmd', by itself, then I expect the shortcut to CANCEL as soon as I hold right cmd and press any other key in combination with it. But Codex treats right cmd as the shortcut even if I am pressing cmd + left arrow, for example.
