iPad ChatGPT app freezes when opening Codex remote thread detail over SSH

What issue are you seeing?

On iPad, the ChatGPT app freezes when opening a Codex remote conversation/thread detail.

The remote conversation list loads successfully. The freeze happens after tapping into a conversation/thread detail from that list.

Observed behavior:

Remote conversation list: loads
Opening conversation/thread detail: freezes

Client:

iPadOS version: 26.5
ChatGPT app version on iPad: 1.2026.125 (25565698938)

Remote setup:

Codex remote is configured as a direct SSH connection to the host.
Codex Desktop is not used for this remote connection.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Use an iPad running:

   iPadOS 26.5
   ChatGPT app 1.2026.125 (25565698938)
   

2. Configure Codex remote as a direct SSH connection to the host Mac.

3. Open the Codex remote conversation list in the ChatGPT app.

4. Wait for the conversation list to load.

5. Tap into a conversation/thread detail.

6. The app freezes after entering the conversation/thread detail.

What is the expected behavior?

The iPad ChatGPT app should open the selected Codex remote conversation/thread detail without freezing.

Additional information

The same setup works normally on iPhone.

I am having the exact same issue but with iPad (ChatGPT → Codex) connecting to Codex Desktop setup (MacOS). Also, works perfectly fine on iOS.

I'm seeing exact the same issue when I'm connecting from iPad to Codex desktop on Mac mini.
iOS ChatGPT app is working fine.

So I close this issue
