What issue are you seeing?
After updating Codex Desktop App to version 26.513.20950 (2816), I noticed two UI regressions:
- The text in the left sidebar became noticeably heavier/bolder than before.
- The Desktop Pet became larger than before, and there is no visible setting to adjust its size.
Sidebar font issue
After the update, project/session titles in the left sidebar appear noticeably bolder than before.
The font looks like it may be using a different font, a fallback font, or a heavier font weight than the previous version.
This makes the sidebar visually inconsistent with the previous UI and less comfortable to scan during daily use.
The issue is not limited to one specific language. It appears to be a general UI/sidebar font rendering change.
Desktop Pet size issue
After the same update, the Desktop Pet also appears noticeably larger than before.
The pet now takes up more space around the bottom-right area of the Codex window.
I could not find any setting to restore the previous smaller size or manually adjust the pet scale.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open Codex Desktop App
26.513.20950 (2816) on macOS.
- Observe the project/session title list in the left sidebar.
- Notice that the sidebar text appears heavier/bolder than before.
- Enable Desktop Pet.
- Observe that the pet appears larger than before.
- Try to find a setting to adjust the pet size.
What is the expected behavior?
- Sidebar text should keep a readable and consistent font weight, similar to the previous Codex version.
- UI text should not appear unexpectedly bold/heavy because of font fallback or font-weight changes.
- Desktop Pet should keep the previous visual scale after app updates.
- Codex should provide a setting to customize Desktop Pet size, such as:
- Small / Medium / Large presets
- or a scale slider.
What actually happened?

- App zoom does not seem to provide a dedicated way to control the pet size.
