Grammarly for Mac no longer appears in the Codex macOS composer.
Current broken version: Codex 26.602.40724, build 3593, macOS app bundle com.openai.codex.
Expected behavior: Grammarly’s inline suggestions, blue bubble, tab, or underlines should appear in the message composer, as they do in other compatible macOS apps.
Actual behavior: Grammarly does not appear in the Codex composer. It still appears in Claude.app and iA Writer on the same Mac, with the same Grammarly installation, so this does not look like a global Grammarly permission problem.
Regression signal: this worked in some previous Codex versions according to user observation. I tested side-by-side older builds 26.602.30954, 26.601.21317, 26.601.20914, 26.527.60818, 26.527.31326, and 26.527.30818; none showed Grammarly’s bubble. The working version may therefore predate the cached feed, or the behavior may have changed on Grammarly’s side.
Likely area: the composer’s text input or accessibility semantics changed in a way that prevents Grammarly for Mac from detecting the editable field. Please expose the composer as a standard compatible text input surface, or restore the prior accessibility behavior.
