What issue are you seeing?
I’m using Codex Desktop on Windows. In this thread, the visible terminal panel exists in the UI, but the agent cannot read its contents via the provided read_thread_terminal tool.
When the agent calls codex_app.read_thread_terminal, it returns:
No app terminal session is attached to this thread yet.
So the issue is: the Codex Desktop UI appears to show a lower/right terminal, but that terminal is not attached to the current Codex thread from the agent/tooling perspective. Because of that, the agent cannot inspect the terminal output, even though it is visible to the user in the app.
What steps can reproduce the bug?

What is the expected behavior?
codex should able to read the inside terminal, it works fine before I updated to v26.616.31447 today.
Additional information
I've tried adding Computer Use plugin to Codex, giving Codex full control access, rebooting Codex serveral times, creating new chat.
all of above doesn't fix the issue.
