VSCode Extension - Local tasks do not save

What steps can reproduce the bug?

When I press enter to run a local task and either a) move the Codex tab in VSCode to another panel (e.g. left side of VSCode window to right side), or b) I close and reopen VSCode, the task is ran is gone. None of my local tasks save and it's incredibly frustrating.

What is the expected behavior?

I expect the local tasks to not clear when I'm rearranging the Codex chat panel in VSCode, or when I reopen VSCode.

note to OpenAI developers - it's fine to ship a bare bones product and iterate on it rapidly. It's not fine to ship with tradeoffs that allow developer fall into a trap they can't get out of. Would you ship a text editor with a save button but no way to open files? Very questionable judgement and inconsiderate of users. Anyway, after digging around I found "codex resume" but I'd recommend a /sessions or /resume slash command like every other coding agent has.
