The mid period subscription upgrades, goto dashboard and try to upgrade, every time fails and asks for card authentication updates, even if I do 100 times It doesn't help, I am tired of their never replying support emails, they have to notice this. This doesn't happen with claude, nor with anyone else, chatgpt specifically

^ this yeah, there's nothing haven't tried. It's the same backend in essence, wouldn't work.

I'm gonna have to go with claude max for a month. Let one of their members close this, I mean this is basics, they should implement fallbacks to deal with any errors. I'll probably have to buy from another account, but the chat history in my account something I can't let go of.

Yeah I mean if I'm not mistaken none of the contributers here are going to really be able to do anything. The actual backend for this stuff is maintained by internal OpenAI engineers and so a support ticket is probably the only way to go. Hopefully they are more responsive but that does suck

I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a bad experience with OpenAI's payment system. If you haven't already done so, please contact our customer support team. Aside from forwarding your feedback, there's not much that the codex team can do about this, so I'm going to close.
