Feedback Report: Mistake #1508

Description

@openedx-webhooks

Relevant URL: https://academy.n8n.io/
Reporter Role(s): Developer
Contact Name: SUGUNTHAN

I am taking the n8n Foundations (N8N102) Webhook Assessment.

I created the workflow in n8n Cloud and configured the Webhook node with:

  • HTTP Method: POST
  • Authentication: Header Auth
  • Header name: x-api-key
  • Correct Academy API key configured
  • Respond to Webhook nodes returning 200 and 400 responses

The workflow is published, and I am using the Production URL from the Webhook node.

When I run Step 1 Tests in the Academy Webhook Tester, the page shows:

webhook_url is not valid. Please ensure your hostname resolves and is publicly accessible. Status Code: 400

However, the webhook does receive the requests successfully. I can see the incoming order payload in Executions → WebhookNewOrder → Output, and the execution completes successfully in n8n Cloud.

Because the request reaches the webhook and executes correctly, the webhook appears to be publicly accessible and functioning properly. The issue seems to be related to the Academy validator reporting an incorrect or misleading error.

Please help me verify whether there is an issue with the assessment validation or if any additional configuration is required for this specific assessment.
