Walkthrough

The proximity check logic within the randomLand method of the MirvExecution class has been refactored. The loop that checks if a candidate tile is within a Manhattan distance of 25 from any taken tile is now encapsulated in a new private method, proximityCheck.

Changes

File Change Summary
src/core/execution/MIRVExecution.ts Refactored proximity check logic in randomLand by introducing a private proximityCheck method.

Poem

In code fields where tiles may land,
Proximity now has a helping hand.
A bunny hops and checks with care,
"Are you too close? Let’s be aware!"
Encapsulated logic, neat and tight—
Refactored code, a rabbit’s delight!

172-174: Good code refactoring to improve clarity and maintainability

The extraction of the proximity check logic into a dedicated method makes the code more readable and maintainable. This change keeps the same control flow (continuing if a tile is too close to any taken tile) while making the code's intent clearer.

181-188: Well-implemented proximity check method

The new proximityCheck method is well-structured and correctly:

  1. Iterates through all taken tiles
  2. Checks if the Manhattan distance between the candidate tile and any taken tile is less than 25
  3. Returns early (true) if a nearby tile is found
  4. Returns false if no nearby tiles are found

This implementation fixes the bug mentioned in the PR description while making the code more maintainable.
