SKOS

SKOS (Simple Knowledge Organization System) is used here to add semantics to the various SWE files. If you are new to SKOS, please read the [skos primer] (http://www.w3.org/TR/skos-primer). The first idea was to check existing vocabularies and to reuse what is provided there. Well, yes, that is the ideal way and yes, that is what we will do eventually. Just, if you search for terms such as "temperature", you will get many many hits. You would need to find the best matching first, which is a very time consuming task. We therefore decided to make use of the beauty of SKOS vocabularies: You can always define your own and just link to others later:)
