After further testing, this seems to be quite stable. 🎉
More features are still to come but this release can already be your starting point. New in this release:

  • raspi-config included (set your timezone!)
  • etckeeper included and set up
  • GPU memory split at 16MB by default
  • FireMotD with some info on ssh login
  • minor fixes and tunings
