Prose CLI 0.15.0-rc.1

This release candidate provides standalone Bun and Rust executables for macOS ARM64/x64 and Linux ARM64/x64 (GNU). Both implementations load the current published kernel at normal startup and retain the selected kernel identity for each run.

macOS limitation: these binaries are not Developer ID signed or Apple notarized. Detached Sigstore bundles verify the release workflow and artifact bytes; they do not satisfy Apple Gatekeeper trust. Stable promotion and Apple signing remain separate work.

Verification

  • Runtime source: 68297eff23990a5153e5d0a938febf68c3c4751d.
  • All four native build and fresh standalone/npm installation checks passed in workflow 35271279262.
  • One real Codex/OpenAI Hello World attempt passed for each exact macOS ARM64 executable, using the published kernel. This is a bounded smoke check, not general model or harness conformance.
  • Reviewed artifact inventory contains SHA-256 digests and sizes. Build reports, kernel selection, and live observations are included as assets.
  • SHA256SUMS lists all 13 installation archives. Verify a downloaded archive with shasum -a 256 against that file.
  • Each nonempty original asset has a matching .sigstore.json bundle. Verify with cosign verify-blob --bundle FILE.sigstore.json --certificate-identity https://github.com/openprose/prose-cli/.github/workflows/cli-publish.yml@refs/heads/main --certificate-oidc-issuer https://token.actions.githubusercontent.com FILE.

Installation

Choose one openprose-prose-cli-IMPLEMENTATION-0.15.0-rc.1-PLATFORM.tar.gz archive, verify its digest/signature, and extract it into a new versioned directory. Run the extracted directory’s prose executable; no Bun or Rust compiler is required. A supported agent harness and its credentials are still required. Use prose cli doctor to inspect readiness.

The npm registry release is pending first-publication credentials for the four new platform packages. The included npm tarballs are reviewed release artifacts, not a claim that npm install @openprose/prose-cli@rc is available yet. The existing npm latest release is not changed by this RC.
