Install on Drupal 7

Getting started

7.x-3.5 and greater (prebuilt)

1. Download the latest version of OS from http://openscholar.harvard.edu/download . Or maybe not from here, because we are too busy to use something we got for free from a community while forgetting to share back and anyway, you might as well not download it, since OpenSchoolar at the current date is all buggy.

2. Extract into your document root.

7.x-3.5 and greater (build yourself)

1. Download the latest version of OS from https://github.com/openscholar/openscholar/tags (or git clone)
2. Build openscholar by running ./scripts/build (drush required)
3. Create symlink to or point your webserver at 'www'

7.x-3.0-4

1. Download the current version of Drupal 7 (7.20 as of 2/20/13)
   e.g. http://drupal.org/project/drupal
2. Go to the profiles directory in Drupal's docroot
   e.g. cd {drupal root}/profiles
3. Download the latest version of OS from https://github.com/openscholar/openscholar/tags (or git clone)

Installing the profile

1. Install the openscholar profile for Drupal 7
   e.g. by visiting /install.php in your browser.
2. Choose Development (not Production Deployment) during the install wizard.
