May you please create a guide "How to add Expiration Date"
all info in issues it's to old and not working or am do something wrong !!

Go to attributes
Name a date ie Exp date
in the dropdown choose date.
Select where you want it t show.
In Items select attribute Exp date
Click on the date and select today or a date in the future.

I do not believe there is a setting for that.

Expiration date functionality is already available through the Attributes feature. Create a DATE-type attribute (e.g., 'Exp Date') in Attributes menu, set it to show in Items, and it will be available when editing items. No new code needed - this is a documentation/user guidance question. See also related enhancement issues #510 and #3377 for expiration alerts. Closing as the feature exists.
