Breaking Changes

  • Swift Package Manager only on iOS: CocoaPods support has been removed. The plugin now integrates through Swift Package Manager, matching OptimizelySwiftSDK 6.0.0 (#119)
  • Raised minimum versions: iOS 15.0 and Flutter 3.44.0 (#119)
  • OptimizelySwiftSDK 6.0.0: bumped from 5.5.0. No API changes; 6.0.0 drops CocoaPods and requires iOS 15 (#124)

No Dart API changes. Android is unchanged (android-sdk 5.4.0).

Migration

  1. Use Flutter 3.44 or later (SPM is enabled by default; otherwise run flutter config --enable-swift-package-manager). If your app's pubspec.yaml turns SPM off (flutter: config: enable-swift-package-manager: false), remove that setting.
  2. Set your app's iOS deployment target to 15.0 or higher.
  3. Run flutter pub get and flutter build ios. Flutter migrates your Xcode project to SPM automatically.
  4. If no other CocoaPods plugins remain, you may run pod deintegrate and delete your Podfile.
