The profile viewer is a separate window composed of three lists:

The Software sets list

This will show at least one entry described as "All Machines", which contains all arcade games, machines, and devices The will be other entries if the profile has software lists, one entry by software set Each entry has a colored icon:

  • Not scanned yet
  • No available software/machines
  • software/machines are available (complete) but not all
  • software/machines are all available (complete)
You can filter view by deselecting icon status in toolbar

The Software/Machine list

This will show each filtered machines or software, depending of the software sets list selection.
Each entry has a colored icon in the first column:

  • Not scanned yet
  • software or machine is not available
  • software or machine is incomplete
  • software or machine is complete

The status icon is determined has if mame was used, meaning that roms for clones are searched in a parent-clone relationship whatever the merge mode that was used
Icon state is also here for cloneof, romof, and sampleof

Double click on machine or software Name will try to launch mame (if mame/mess was used and status is green)
Double click on cloneof, romof entries will jump and select onto that entry definition

You can filter view by deselecting icon status in toolbar (no influence on scan/fix, just a temporary view filtering)

You can search for a game in toolbar, this will jump to first game starting with the name as you type in

At least, it's also possible to unselect individual entry, or even select by keywords:

Keywords selection

This will collect more or less intelligently keywords in parenthesis from game description, then you will be able to include and order by drag & drop on the right list, and when clicking on the "Filter" button, this will select entries meeting the requirement, and unselect entries not meeting the requirement, or unselect entries when an entry with the same name has been already chosen (in respect with the preferred keyword order)

The Entries list

This list will show the entry content of a game, machine, or software, ... Sof there will roms, disks, and samples, with for each a status of availability and what we known about each those entries (name, size, crc, sha1, dump status, ...). The first column represent the status as represented by the following icons:

  • Entry not scanned
  • Entry not available or not valid
  • Entry available and valid
