What the hosted MCP surface (https://mcp.opus.pro/mcp) and the opusclip CLI could do as of 2026-07-29.

Clips

  • Preview first: clips come back as previews and exporting is an explicit step, so an agent stops paying for renders nobody looked at.
  • export_clip covers HD, 4K and Adobe XML, gated to the same plan entitlements as the web.
  • duplicate_clip over REST, MCP and the CLI.
  • Applying a draft saves the clip with a preview-only render.
  • In-chat clip preview as an MCP App widget, drawn as a chromeless true-ratio grid.

Posting

  • list_scheduled_posts lists what is queued to post; the CLI gets post list.
  • Social post captions no longer come back blank on non-YouTube platforms.

Submitting

  • Submit switches (curation, render, conclusion actions) are exposed on the shared contract, so the CLI and the MCP take the same params.

Fixes

  • Expired and deleted projects are excluded from the list tools.
  • The claude.ai widget renders again — a static ui.domain was breaking it.
  • Each MCP surface's docs point at its own page.

Launchers

opusclip-mcp published on PyPI, so uvx opusclip-mcp works for stdio-only clients, and a root mcp.json makes the server discoverable to Open Plugins / cursor.directory. npm @opusclip/mcp unchanged at 0.1.0.

Hosted endpoint unchanged: https://mcp.opus.pro/mcp (Streamable HTTP + OAuth, no API keys).
