MeanThis 0.1.0 is an early testing release of the local-first UI reference toolkit.

Select real page elements, review their browser facts, add task notes, and copy the context for an Agent. The primary extension flow works without an account or local companion.

Try it

  1. Download all three matching assets below: the ZIP, manifest JSON, and SHA-256 file.
  2. Verify the ZIP and manifest hashes with the instructions in README.
  3. Extract the ZIP. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, and choose Load unpacked. Select the extracted directory containing manifest.json.
  4. Open a normal Web page, click MeanThis in the toolbar, choose Add elements, and select a target. Review the floating widget and copy the handoff. More opens the side panel.

This release includes capture comparison, independent editing and deletion of repeated annotations, recovery for corrupted saved captures, more reliable selection across reloads and nested frame scopes, and expanded redaction of recognized provider tokens in the default Agent-safe projection.

The optional MCP companion also preserves complete responses when a POSIX output pipe is temporarily full and shuts down within a bounded time under output backpressure.

Feedback and limits

Please report reproducible interaction or installation problems through Issues. Include browser and OS versions plus sanitized reproduction steps. Do not include credentials or private page contents. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately through Security.

This is an unpacked developer installation for early testing. Chrome Web Store delivery and store-delivered upgrades have not been exercised. npm packages are not published. Automated redaction recognizes defined patterns and is not a complete sensitive-data detector; review context before sharing it. See Privacy.

本版包含捕捉对比、重复标注的独立编辑和删除、损坏记录清理、重载与嵌套页面中的选择稳定性改进，以及默认 Agent-safe 内容中已知凭据格式的脱敏补充。

可选 MCP companion 也修复了 POSIX 输出管道暂时写满时响应中断的问题，并验证输出受阻时能在限定时间内关闭。

目前是开发者模式安装，尚未发布到 Chrome Web Store 或 npm，也未验证商店自动升级。自动脱敏无法识别所有敏感信息，分享前请检查内容。
