First release on macOS, Windows and Linux since v1.3.0, bringing together 740 merged pull requests and many major redesigns.
New features
- Agent Org teams: run a team of agents on a formal task lifecycle with owner permissions, direct and group work through a linked inbox, pause and resume, and a shared team timeline.
- Windows and tabs: open sessions, My Station and Agent Station in their own windows, reopen recently closed tabs, and use Back and Forward inside a session tab.
- Mobile remote: pair a phone by scanning the desktop pairing code, browse and search desktop sessions from it, and control browser sessions remotely.
- Agents and models:
- The DeepSeek Harness agent, plus Claude Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra.
- One picker for model and effort.
- Claude Desktop profiles, and switching to a model's native API in settings.
- Claude and Codex slash commands, approvals and plans handled directly in chat.
- Spotlight:
- Create projects and work items, and import shared sessions.
- Pin rows and run branch commands per repository.
- Commit changes and search settings.
- Chat and sessions: reliable find-in-chat, display controls with compact activity summaries, session sorting and manual ordering in the sidebar, and an optional compact composer.
- WorkStation: a resizable side panel with a docked terminal, a branch switcher, multiple workspace roots, and a tray menu showing live sessions.
- Personalization: light and dark skins with accent colors, an app icon picker (including a rainbow icon) that updates the Dock live, and custom key bindings per platform.
- Browser and previews: import cookies from installed browsers, choose where links open, browse images in a gallery with trackpad zoom, and preview file links and pull requests on hover.
- Key Vault and usage: import credentials from other apps, keep custom model catalogs, and track weekly quota history with plan tiers and reset credits.
Redesigned UI
- New look:
- A new icon set across the app and a new sign-in screen.
- A refreshed splash screen.
- Matching illustrated dialogs for sign-out, quit and app updates.
- Native macOS vibrancy.
- Cleaner layouts: the sidebar, the chat reading column, GitHub and source-control reviews, and work management lists.
- Consistent controls: dropdowns, dialogs and loading states now look and behave the same everywhere.
- ORG2 name everywhere: the macOS app menu, agent prompts, built-in skills, and the names ORG2 writes into Continue, Droid, Claude Desktop and Codex configs now all say ORG2.
Major bug fixes
- Git:
- Pulls stash local changes automatically, and Stash & Pull restores your stash.
- Conflicts are detected reliably.
- Pushes set their upstream.
- Fetches no longer pile up when the window regains focus.
- Chat:
- Your reading position stays put while responses stream, and truncated responses load when expanded.
- The composer clears after you send.
- Permission prompts, plans and to-dos stay in sync.
- Sessions and replay: replays keep complete tool arguments and context, shared Codex conversations open for teammates with their full history, and continuations pick the matching checkout.
- Codex: threads keep their identity across resends, converted threads land in the right project, and reconnecting no longer reuses OAuth refresh tokens.
- Terminal: failed commands show their output, hidden panes stop taking over the active terminal, and output streams stay intact.
- macOS: native context menus no longer freeze the app, the window buttons stay in place, and the app follows its own light or dark theme.
- Agent Org: interrupted tasks resume safely, and member runtimes recover after failures.
- Settings and languages: settings changes are no longer overwritten by stale file updates, the settings header title lines up with the back arrow, and every string, including all update messages, is translated into all 13 supported languages.
Performance
- Lower memory use:
- Hidden tabs, panels and browser views are released.
- Session state is reclaimed when you delete a session.
- Unsaved drafts are kept on disk.
- Images, videos and PDFs load from disk instead of memory.
- Less background work: polling, timers and diagnostics pause while the app is hidden, and routines run their schedule checks only when due.
- Smoother streaming: chat history no longer re-renders on every streamed token, and editor languages and icons load on demand.
Refactored
- Smaller modules: dozens of oversized frontend files and Rust modules are split into focused modules across chat, WorkStation, sessions, cloud sync, mobile remote, project management and the agent runtime.
- Dead code removed:
- 132 unused native commands, plus unused state and exports.
- The retired semantic search stack and marketplace leftovers.
- The old browser sidebar and the AI Impact tab.
Security, build and CI
- Security: Cargo and npm security updates, including Tauri 2.11 and a patched XML parser behind
.docxpreviews, plus full-history secret scanning and CodeQL scans for each language. - Toolchain: Tailwind CSS v4, tsgo type checking, oxlint and knip, sass-embedded, and an Rspack dev server.
- Stricter CI:
- A Windows build check, so Windows-only breakage fails on the pull request instead of at release.
- A 700-line cap on touched TypeScript files.
- A ratchet that blocks new type-aware lint findings.
- Dependency ownership boundaries.
- A size budget for the production startup bundle.
