How to setup VAPIX API

I want to integrate with Axis's access management, my idea is that I develop a tool to fetch all cardholders and display it for client. I already installed the Axis Camera Station Client and worked around with access management like create/update cardholder, credential, access right. I follow the document https://www.axis.com/vapix-library/subjects/t10067552/section/t10068742/display and all section in the side bar, but I don't see any instruction to setup the API service. What should I do next?

As per my understanding, AXIS A1610 Network Door Controller or AXIS A1210 Network Door Controller have two type of Axis OS:

Version 10.12.236.1 - AXIS OS active will support the VAPIX API which you mentioned.

I am not sure if Axis released the APIs for AXIS OS (AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry) version or VAPIX will work for that😞

So, this suggests that AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry does not utilize the VAPIX API.

Do they point to the same database? If I use VAPIX API to create a new cardholder, will AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry display this cardholder in Access Management?

In AXIS OS (AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry) version you will not find the VAPIX API endpoints.

For example: https:///vapix/doorcontrol/axtdc:GetDoorConfigurationList

I have never tried that 😞 . Do let me know if you find any success.

As far as I know, the AXIS Network door controller contains the VAPIX API, so there should be the API configuration in the device's web interface.
I still haven't found any API configuration instruction of AXIS A1210 yet, but I found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGXFuf48hRM, this is AXIS P1375's API configuration, as you can see the swagger and stuff, especially the API endpoint, it might be the device's IP Address. So, I think that AXIS 1210 should work the same way.

I have never tried it but check out this where the user complains about missing end points for VAPIX API for A1601.

Sound like this guy used the wrong version which doesn't support VAPIX API. I guess it should work if we use the correct one.
