Stuck in Perpetual Loading

Hi there,

I'm trying to make an archive of my grandma's letters in an easy-to-use format for her. This seems like the perfect site.

However, I can't get any metadata to load on my site, or on the example site for that matter. My metadata is raw and probably not formatted correctly for the site, but it still gets stuck on the spinning wheel. To test if it's the metadata, I've downloaded the example metadata and tried that instead. Unfortunately this just makes a blank page instead of the spinning wheel of loading.

Forgive me, this is my first step into the coding world. I would appreciate any help!

I've just tried now with Google Sheets as opposed to a CSV files, and am getting a blank screen. I can import any csv or link to change the metadata, but it's all still blank.

Hi Josh, You need to publish your google sheet as a CSV not an html file. Look at step two linked here to see how to select that : https://collectionbuilder.github.io/cb-docs/docs/walkthroughs/sheets-walkthrough/#2-publish-your-google-sheet-to-the-web The second image in the set (scroll down a bit) will show you to select Comma Separated Values for your publication sharing option. Looking at what you do share through the link there -- your metadata is nowhere near where it needs to be. I would recommend going through the SHEETS walkthrough <https://collectionbuilder.github.io/cb-docs/docs/walkthroughs/sheets-walkthrough/> in its entirety, with the demo metadata -- and looking closely at the demo metadata sheet (make a copy for yourself with this link --> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uXM0_fV7fHm9UX2QAI4bP2VY7ThXdpC-UYqf_p9pNcY/copy ). It also looks like you are trying to display TIFF files. That won't work on the web. You'll need to change those to jpgs.Take a look at this guidance too: file https://collectionbuilder.github.io/cb-docs/docs/objects/gh-objects/#object-guidelines-for-gh-and-sheets I'd take some time to go thru the walkthrough and understand the whole system before trying this again.
