Apple have dropped Intel x86_64 support in macOS Golden Gate (27). We had planned on dropping this later in September but we were unable to resolve catastrophic issues with our Intel CI infrastructure causing all builds to take >=10x as long and delaying all other builds. As a result, we needed to turn it off earlier. You will have better luck with MacPorts which supports older versions of macOS: https://www.macports.org |

Not every big company is moving away from supporting MacOS Intel x86_64 machines....

Among others that still support even us OCLP MacOS Intel 86x_64s... |

@jessel33 Doesn't matter. We don't have even a 1/1000th of the resources of either of those companies. If you want to do the work to run a Homebrew fork or building bottles for Intel x86_64: literally nothing is stopping you doing that. You cannot compel others to do what you want. |

GitHub Actions are dropping macOS Intel x86_64 runners in 2027.
Homebrew is a non-profit project run entirely by volunteers, not employees.
If the biggest companies in the world cannot support macOS Intel x86_64 any longer, sadly neither can we.
