Hi Archer,
I'm running into an issue where my dummy plug is recognized by Sunshine, but KMS doesn't detect it as a monitor, preventing Sunshine from sending any video to my moonlight clients. My plan is to switch the capture method from KMS to PipeWire since I'm using Ubuntu 26.04 with a Wayland desktop environment, where PipeWire is the recommended capture solution.
I've checked the advanced configuration section and can't find a dropdown option for PipeWire capture. I'm currently running the latest version of Sunshine which said pipewire has been added for linux. Can you please help me find the correct settings to enable Pipewire?

Okay, I have now tried forcing XDG portal and it wasn't able to find a monitor nor the gpu. I am switching it back to KMS to see what happens now.

I'm looking at the display id section, and I know it should be a number 0,1,2 here instead of wayland-0. At the moment I'm experimenting with different inputs because 0, 1, and 2 did not get recognized

The logs do not tell me what my display id is and I tried a bunch of commands in my terminal to find an id number, but to no avail

The good thing is that my dummy plug is seen as connected and returns the available resolutions when I sent a command in the terminal, but sunshine is probably not configured correctly to see it and treat it as a monitor (?)

I know there's inconsistencies in the display ids on Linux depending on the capture method. Maybe someone will fix it someday.

Hi again Archer, I've been troubleshooting this since I last wrote. I found the potential issue and solution. I had set up a sequence of systemd files that would (after autologin to ubuntu) start Sunshine and then lock the screen. I did this to introduce some security to my system. However, I did not realize at the time that Ubuntu (or gnome 50 or wayland or one of these) will immediately turn off the screen after it has been locked. That was the issue. Very simple haha. Nobody will be able to stream a screen that is not turned on. My dummy plug was working all the time, however it wasn't actually being turned on (thus not detected) and displaying a desktop environment when I tried to connect with moonlight. The solution for me is to just keep auto login on, and to disable the autolocking service I created.

However, I would really like a feature to like enter a pin code or something for security.
