Repository update fails with "The requested URL returned error: 301"

Since yesterday (2026-07-26), the translations for FMD ( https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/fmd/#information ) fail to update with this error:

fatal: unable to access 'repository URL/': The requested URL returned error: 301

When I click "Update the repository", the same error occurs.

The "source code repository" has been set to https://gitlab.com/fmd-foss/fmd-android for the past year or so.

I (in my role as administrator for this translation component) haven't changed anything. The GitLab repository should also not have changed.

Weblate no longer follows HTTP redirects because of a security fix. #20872 should bring back support for safe redirects. Meanwhile, fix your repository URL to point to the Git repository rather than the HTML view by appending .git to it.
