Longer story:

The reality is that people and companies donate to projects on different platforms. Especially companies, they usually enroll in one place.

• Last week, I attended Open Source summit and a guy from Mercedes Benz said that they base their donation on GitHub Sponsors
• Big corporations, like IBM that are already on LF Crowdfunding spent a lot of bureaucratic work to get official accounts on other platforms, like Open Collective. Reason is famous corporate-wide standard of Purchase Order

So yeah, we should enable sponsorship anywhere we can 😄

Pinging you (TSC) folks, so you are aware that there will be a 3rd place where we can connect money.

Current GitHub Sponsor is transferred on a regular basis to our Open Collective.
Not doable with Linux Foundation Crowdfunding (Community Bridge is the name). Not a problem though. They have features to manage expenses in a transparent way as Open Collective.

It is also interesting for you to know cause maybe your company was delaying the decision to sponsor the initiative because they do not like Open Collective and already use Community Bridge. Now you can tell them they need different excuse 😄 I know for example that Mercedes-Benz supported only through GitHub Sponsor so maybe there are companies that prefer Community Bridge only.
