Problem in Re-Verifying Github Student Application #179826
Hi everyone,Initially, my github education application was denied because I did not enter my name details correctly. However, when I try to reverify by clicking “Reverify” in "https://github.com/settings/education/benefits" on GitHub or by visiting the link This issue is affecting many others as well, and as a result, I’m currently unable to complete my re-verification. Is there a solution for this issue? |

No, mine is the same. It doesn't allow any operations, and there's no response to my support tickets. It's a terrible experience. |

Hi @krishnamanojpvr, Try logging out/in or with another device, such as a smartphone or another PC or wait a few days and try again. If none of the above works, I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select " |

Could you also help me with resetting the status? I'm currently in the same situation.

Hi @krishnamanojpvr, If you're doing this using your personal account, try adding your college account (academic email) to your GitHub profile. Also, make sure you enable two-step verification. After doing these, the verification process should complete. |

Hey, I experienced a very similar issue after my GitHub Education application was denied and I tried to re-verify my information. The normal reapplication links kept redirecting me to the GitHub pricing page instead of the student verification flow, so I could not submit the correction. In my case, the problem seemed to be related to a broken or expired application state on GitHub Education’s side rather than anything wrong with the account itself. After waiting a bit and contacting GitHub Education Support with the original application details, the re-verification option eventually became available again. Since other users are also experiencing the same redirect issue, it is probably a temporary backend problem affecting the Education application system. |
