After answering two discussions, You will get Galaxy Brain badge More details here: |
|
I think that you need to answer other people's discussions to be counted as an answer and not your own discussion. Because I already did it myself. |
|
Earned by "2 accepted answers" There's also three tiers (badges) bronze, silver, and gold. Gold is earned with "32 accepted answers", 16 and 8 for the others. More details here: |

Hi Folks, I love how people run behind achievements. These are some methods to get galaxy brain achievement on GitHub: Active Participation in Discussions: Regularly participate in discussions related to repositories you are interested in or contributing to. This can include answering questions, providing insights, or sharing resources. Providing Quality Answers: Focus on giving thorough, accurate, and helpful answers to questions posed in discussions. High-quality answers are more likely to receive upvotes from the community. Understanding the Community and Topics: Familiarize yourself with the communities and topics you are engaging in. This will help you provide more relevant and insightful answers. Follow Up on Your Responses: Be responsive to any follow-up questions or comments on your answers. Engaging in a meaningful conversation can enhance your reputation and increase the likelihood of receiving upvotes. Help Solve Issues: Addressing and helping to resolve issues in discussions can showcase your expertise and willingness to contribute to the community, leading to more upvotes. |

Hi @wavescats, thanks so much for posting in our Community. Because of an influx of users creating low quality, nonsensical or spam posts in the Community with the aim of earning certain Achievements, we’ve made the difficult decision to disable the ability to earn Achievements in our Community. You can learn more about this decision in our announcement post here Achievements will no longer be available in the Community. Let us know if you have any other questions 🚀 |

Hello! Here with an updated answer:
We made the decision to disable the ability to earn Achievements in our Community in order to discourage users from participating in coordinated or inauthentic activity like rapid questions and answers in order to earn badges. You can learn more about this decision in our announcement post here Achievements will no longer be available in the Community.
Note that GitHub's Acceptable Use Policies prohibits coordinated or inauthentic activity like rapid questions and answers. If users create discussions of this nature, it may result in a temporary or indefinite block from the Community.
Thanks for understanding!
