I'm a Copilot Pro Plus subscriber paying €39/month. I use GitHub Copilot agent mode exclusively with Claude Sonnet 4.5 for a single real-world project — a WooCommerce e-commerce site (Python scripts, WordPress REST API integration, data normalization).

The problem: On June 1, 2026 — day 1 of my new billing cycle — I consumed approximately 15% of my monthly 7,000 premium request allowance in a single 2–3 hour working session. At this rate, my monthly limit runs out in roughly 2 weeks of normal work.

Previous months: The same workflow did not exhaust my limit. The June 2026 pricing change has made the Pro Plus plan unworkable for serious agent-mode usage.

What I'm asking:

Transparent documentation of how premium requests are counted in agent mode (tool calls, file reads, each turn?)
A higher limit for Pro Plus, or a usage dashboard that shows real-time consumption per session
If the current limit is intentional, an honest explanation — so subscribers can make informed decisions
I'm not asking for free usage. I'm asking for a plan that actually covers the use case it advertises. Agent mode is the flagship feature of Copilot Pro Plus. A 7,000 request/month limit that runs out in 2–3 hours of agent use is not a viable product.

Your numbers match what a lot of agent-mode users are seeing since June 1, so you are reading it right. Stick with agent mode for real multi-file work and drop to inline completions for mechanical edits.

I would like to provide an additional data point.

My billing cycle reset on June 1, 2026. As of today, I have already consumed 2,939 out of 7,000 included AI credits, leaving only 4,061 credits for the remaining 29 days of the billing period.

What concerns me is that my workflow has not changed.

I am working on the same WooCommerce project, using the same Agent Mode workflow, the same Claude Sonnet model, and approximately the same daily working hours as in previous months.

You mentioned that many Agent Mode users have observed similar numbers since June 1. If that is the case, then this appears to be a broader change rather than an isolated issue.

My concern is not that there is a limit. My concern is that paying customers are being asked to manage a resource without being given enough information to understand how it is consumed.

At the moment, users see credits disappearing rapidly, but there is no clear explanation of which Agent Mode actions consume credits, how much they consume, or whether the accounting model has changed.

From a customer perspective, this creates the impression that usage costs have increased significantly while transparency has decreased.

I believe many Pro+ subscribers would appreciate clear answers to the following questions:

• How are Agent Mode actions translated into AI credit consumption?
• Did the accounting model change on or around June 1?
• What level of daily Agent Mode usage is the Pro+ plan actually designed to support?
• Is consuming nearly 3,000 credits within the first day of a billing cycle considered expected behavior?

I am not asking for unlimited usage.

I am simply asking for transparency.

If the current consumption rate is expected and intentional, please state that clearly. Customers can then make informed decisions about whether the Pro+ plan matches their needs.

Right now, many users are left trying to guess how credits are being spent, and that uncertainty is becoming a bigger problem than the limit itself.

As of June 1, 2026: Usage-based billing for GitHub Copilot is now live for all users and Copilot code review consumes GitHub Actions minutes, in addition to GitHub AI Credits.

As part of this release, we're also launching new user-level budget controls, expanded context windows, and enabling upgrades to Copilot Max.
