Hi everyone,

I tired applying for the student developer package using my school id card, but the verification failed and it did not give any further instructions, its blank. It says to address the following issues but it does not list out any issues!! In addition I have made sure that all criteria are met-

• I enabled Two-Factor Authentication
• I completed my Billing Information.
• I updated my GitHub profile with my full legal name, as is on my id card.
• I signed out and signed back into my GitHub account before reapplying.

Any help/guidance is appreciated!

That blank error message is a known UI bug in the GitHub Education portal : ( It’s not your document; the system rejected it, but the website failed to render the specific reason why.

Before reapplying, do these three things:

1. Use an Incognito window
2. Re-take the photo (Don't upload a file)
3. Wait 24 hours

If you keep hitting the blank error after trying these, then the system might have a metadata issue with your school's info. In that case, you'll have to open a support ticket with GitHub Education directly, as they’re the only ones who can manually reset the stuck application state.
