For GitHub Pages, you usually need two DNS records:
If your apex domain (example.com) works but www doesn't, the most common issue is that the www CNAME is missing or pointing to the wrong place. Check your DNS settings and make sure:
Also check in your repo Settings > Pages that you've entered both domains (or just the apex and check the "Enforce HTTPS" box). Give DNS up to 10 mins to propagate after changing it. |

Thank you. I think there were three issues happening. 1. I didn't have
https checked. 2. The domain host site was having technical issues and
wouldn't save the CNAME record. 3. Maybe the CNAME record name is case
sensitive. When I changed it to all lowercase, github was able to propagate
it.

1. An A record pointing @ to GitHub's pages IPs (185.199.108.153,
185.199.109.153, etc.)
2. A CNAME record for www pointing to yourusername.github.io

Check your DNS settings and make sure:
- www CNAME -> yourusername.github.io
- Or if you're using an ALIAS/ANAME record at the apex, double check
it's set up right

Glad you got it sorted! If my answer helped you figure it out, could you mark it as the accepted answer? That way other folks with the same issue can find it easier. |

My custom domain is working, but www is not propagating. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
