Copilot <copilot@github.com> showing up as arbitrary user "00sadik-lab" in commit history

I had following commit which was unknowingly Co-authored-by: Copilot <copilot@github.com> long time back.

dwijbavisi/bloatware@1de5fa8

Last time I checked it was correctly showing author name as Copilot.
However, today, I see the author name as 00sadik-lab

I do not know who this author is. And does not seem to be related to Copilot or GitHub.

We experienced the same thing. Noticed yesterday but if you actually check git directly that author doesn't appear on the commit, issue is only visible in github.

User was most likely able to register copilot@github.com as his email by whatever means and is attempting to farm contributions. Spooked us but there's no security concerns for any private repos

Hey everyone!

Thanks for raising this to our attention. We can confirm that we have removed the copilot@github.com affiliation with said user and we’ve taken action so users are unable to utilise this email address in the future. We appreciate everyone that commented on this discussion.
