No reason given for education application rejection despite evidenced university faculty role - help #202759

Hi MTrim‑umass, This issue can happen when the automated verification system cannot fully match your faculty credentials to the university domain, even if your email and uploaded documents are correct. The system doesn’t always provide a reason when it fails, which understandably makes troubleshooting difficult. Here’s what you can do to get verified: • Re‑apply manually: When re‑submitting your application, include a clear document showing your name, university name (UMass), and your faculty role — such as a faculty ID, appointment letter, or departmental webpage listing. Many faculty members have resolved similar cases through manual review. Once verified, you’ll have full access to the GitHub Education Faculty Benefits. You’ve already done everything right — the next step is simply to reach out to Support with your documentation and a brief note explaining the automated rejection. They’ll handle it promptly. |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
I am unable to get my faculty status verified. I have tried everything - and the rejection is not giving any reason as to why it was rejected. I am using my computer's camera, am accessing from my university office with location services on, and it recognizes my correct affiliation from my email address. But neither pictures of my faculty ID nor files uploaded make any difference. Same rejection message with no reason included. I tried to submit a support ticket, but it won't let you if the issue is a problem with the automated verification. Please help.
