Hey everyone!

I'm working on a project and I'm currently looking for some ideas and feedback on its UI, styling, themes, and overall visual direction.

Are there any places on GitHub where people usually ask for this kind of feedback? I'm mainly looking for somewhere where I can get suggestions on things like colors, layouts, typography, UI/UX, and general design.

I'd probably share it with a few developers and ask for specific feedback on the UI/UX. I've found that getting someone else's perspective helps a lot because you can get used to your own design and stop noticing small issues. Developer communities are also pretty good for this.

Yeah, there are quite a few good spots:

Reddit — r/web_design, r/UI_Design, r/userexperience are pretty active. People give honest feedback there.
DEV Community — lots of devs, good discussions on design and UX.
Discord servers — there are tons of dev/design communities. Search for ones around your tech stack or just general web dev ones. People are usually chill there.
Dribbble/Behance — more design-focused, but you'll get solid feedback if you're comfortable sharing there.
Designer Hangout — Slack community, active, good for design discussions.
Twitter/X — if you don't mind putting it out there, the dev community is pretty responsive. Just tag #design or #webdev.

Honestly though, start with Reddit or a Discord server. Less polished is fine, people care more about honest feedback than perfect presentation. Post a screenshot, explain what you're going for, ask what feels off. You'll get real takes.

I'd say Python Discord and Reactiflux are good places to start. I'm also part of the AI/GenAI space, so the LangChain community is worth checking out too. Kubernetes is another good one if you're interested in open source and cloud stuff. I'd just pick 1–2 based on what you're currently learning rather than joining everything 😄
