Yeah, the badges are bugged. I did everything to get the Pair Extraordinaire badge, but I had to wait two weeks for it to unlock. I also participated in many discussions (8), and I still haven't received the Galaxy Brain badge. Just wait, bro. Your badge will probably appear within 1–2 weeks. |

It has been around 4 weeks/1 month now.... |

Btw, the Galaxy Brain badge isn't bugged. GitHub itself removed the ability to earn this badge through discussions in the Community forum. You can still earn it by answering discussions within a repository. Here is the announcement made by GitHub: Achievements will no longer be available in the Community Here is how discussions within a repository work: How to Enable Q&A in GitHub Discussions Btw, I answered 3 times, and the badge appeared instantly on my profile. I know Galaxy Brain isn't exactly the badge you want, but I just wanted to clarify that it wasn't bugged. It's just something I didn't know — you can no longer earn it through GitHub Community Discussions. I'm not saying that's the case, but maybe you're doing something wrong, like I was? Or maybe there's some important information you don't know yet. For example, it's possible that acquiring the 3x version works differently from the 1x and 2x versions. That's just a hypothesis, though. Now that I figured out what was happening with my badge, it really opened my mind to the possibility that there might be some detail we're missing. |

I am unable to mark 2 response as answer. Other websites allow multiple answers to be accepted.
You are correct and I want to also mark yours as an answer but it is not allowing me to. I think your 2 weeks and the badge didn't apply in my case and for Pull Shark FabianDaSilva's 2 month wait period would make more sense. Keeping this open for devs to fix. |
Confirmed. I had the same issue with Pull Shark x3. After ~2 months it appeared without doing anything else. Seems to be a delay in GitHub's badge processing, not something you're doing wrong
