Hi everyone,

The image upload keeps turning out blurry, and there is no alternative upload option. I have tried almost 20 times, but every attempt results in a blurry image that gets rejected. I saw a similar ticket about this two weeks ago, and I don't understand why this issue hasn't been resolved yet.

20 attempts is really frustrating ,, the blurry image rejection is one of the most common pain points with the education verification flow rn
a few things that actually help get a clear accepted image:

1. dont use the in-app camera directly ,,instead take the photo separately with ur phone camera app first(make sure ur in good lighting ,document flat on a table , camera steady),,then upload that saved photo.the in-app camera tends to compress and auto-crop in ways that cause blur.
2. make sure the document fills most of the frame ,,,too much background around the edges causes the system to zoom in on the document during processsing which makes text blurry,
3. if ur on a laptop,,,open the pdf on ur laptop screen and take a photo of the screen with ur phone ,,sounds counterintuitive but a clear screen photo often works better than a compressed camera capture.
4. the most reliable fix ,, open education.github.com on a desktop /laptop browser instead of mobile. the desktop version usually shows a file upload option where u can upload a jpg/png directly instead of using the camera,,,,which completely bypasses the blur issue.

try the desktop browser route first ,, that alone fixes it for most people❤️❤️.

the upload button is removed from the desktop too and the points you are giving is useless because he already tried that possibly its basic human understanding
