I was rejected for the GitHub Student Developer Pack on April 11, 2026. The rejection email listed seven issues: an illegible document photo, missing two-factor authentication, a billing name that didn't match my academic document, a document that didn't show the full university name, a document without a visible current-enrollment date, a failed location verification, and a GitHub profile name that didn't exactly match my academic document. It has now been five months, and I still cannot submit a new application. No option to reapply appears, regardless of browser or device, even after logging out and back in and clearing cache. I am a graduate student in the Software Engineering Master's program (MISW) at Universidad de los Andes, studying fully virtually/remotely, using my institutional email (uniandes.edu.co). Given the length of time and that no self-service option resolves this, I'm requesting a manual reset of my Education eligibility status so I can submit a new application.

Thanks for clarifying. Since the rejection was in April and you’ve already addressed all seven issues, the main problem now seems to be that the “Start an application” / reapply option is still unavailable after five months.

At this point, I wouldn’t keep repeating the same verification steps. I’d contact GitHub Education Support and explain that your previous application was rejected, the listed issues have been corrected, but your Education benefits page still does not provide a way to submit a new application.

Include the original rejection email, the date of the rejection, your current student status, and a screenshot of the Education benefits page showing that the reapply option is missing. That should give GitHub enough context to investigate the account status and tell you whether the eligibility state needs to be reset or manually reviewed.

Since your reapplication option is missing after the previous rejection, I’d include the rejection email and a screenshot showing that there is no option to reapply. That should help them investigate your Education eligibility status.
