Hi! If you mean the URL for a GitHub webhook, you need to create the webhook first in your repository under Settings → Webhooks → Add webhook. The URL you enter there is the endpoint of your own server/application that will receive GitHub events. GitHub does not automatically provide a webhook URL for you.

Hi! GitHub does not generate the webhook URL for you. The Payload URL must be an endpoint from your own application/server that can receive HTTP requests. In your repository, go to Settings → Webhooks → Add webhook, then enter your endpoint in Payload URL, choose the content type and events, and save it. GitHub will send a ping event after creation so you can test it. If you don't have a public endpoint yet, you'll need to create/host one first.

You don’t get a webhook URL from GitHub. You need to create a public endpoint in your own application first, then add that URL while creating your GitHub App.

Hi Kipkoech-cheres,

Go to your repo → Settings → Webhooks. Click on the webhook and you'll see the Payload URL, that's the one you set up.

If you never created one, GitHub doesn't give you a webhook URL automatically. You need to set up your own endpoint (a server, or something like smee.io for testing) and add that URL yourself under Settings → Webhooks → Add webhook.
