I have submitted multiple forms of documentation showing all the required information. Still getting denied because the camera application on the website is of such low quality you can focus and it goes blurry at upload. This is getting ridiculous I want to request a manual review or for them to fix their stupid camera application that everyone has complained about. This is getting out of hand and my extreme levels of anxiety are making me want to pull my hair out.

The in browser camera upload for Education verification is unreliable on many devices. You are not alone in this experience.

Workarounds that avoid the camera:

1. On desktop, look for "Upload file" or drag and drop option instead of camera capture. Use PDF or PNG from files.

2. If only camera appears on mobile, switch to desktop browser at education.github.com.

3. Scan documents with phone scanner app (Microsoft Lens, Adobe Scan) export PDF, transfer to computer, upload PDF.

4. Ensure good lighting, hold steady, fill frame with document only.

Escalation path:

After 3 failures with file upload not camera, Support at support.github.com, GitHub Education category.
Subject: OCR or camera upload fails despite valid documents
Attach PDFs directly to ticket.
Explain camera goes blurry on upload and auto reject continues.

Manual individual review form no longer exists. Support with attached PDFs is the human path.

Your anxiety is understandable. Step away, prepare one clean PDF, try desktop upload once, then Support if it fails.

No matter what operating system I use or browser there is no Upload Document feature and I have tried to uploadmy information so many times its beginning to feel like a big just. Why cant you update your camera feature if you know it has issues with so many cameras. The fact that my S26Ultra cant take a qualifying photo is stupid.

If you see camera only and no Upload Document anywhere, you are likely on the mobile verification flow. GitHub Education recently pushed camera first on mobile.

Workarounds:

1. Open education.github.com or github.com/settings/education on desktop browser not phone
2. Use "Upload" or "Choose file" if it appears on desktop where camera is not forced
3. Try github.com/education/students on desktop Chrome in normal window not in-app browser
4. If only camera shows on all devices: support.github.com, GitHub Education, describe S26 Ultra camera fails OCR, request manual document upload link

For S26 Ultra camera quality:

1. Bright daylight, document flat, no HDR, disable beauty filter
2. Tap to focus on name and date fields before capture
3. One document fills the frame

The missing upload button on mobile is a product gap, not something you did wrong. Desktop browser is the fastest workaround.

I have tried on two different operating systems on windows ive tried chrome, Firefox, edge on macos with firefox, chrome, safari, mobile with chrome, brave, Firefox, Samsung browser... Every single one has only had camera verification ... So saying I am likely using mobile flow is frustrating.. since I have tried literally everything I can think of.
