GitHub Education “Start an application” redirects to Pricing instead of student verification

Hi everyone,

My GitHub Education benefits were revoked on September 19, 2026, and my Education Benefits page says that I need to reverify my academic status.
The problem is that when I click “Start an application”, I am immediately redirected to github.com/pricing instead of being taken to the GitHub Education student application/re-verification form.
I have reproduced this multiple times, including in a different browser and an incognito window.
My GitHub username is Junaed93 and I am currently an enrolled university student.
The normal GitHub documentation says that after clicking “Start an application,” I should be able to complete and submit the Education application, but I cannot reach that form.
Please help me restore access to the Education re-verification/application flow.

Education application redirecting to Pricing instead of verification usually means one of these:

1. You are logged into a different account than the one that had Education benefits.

2. Your account type is an organization account, not personal. Education applies to personal accounts.

3. Browser cache or ad blocker interfering. Try incognito window.

4. Benefits revoked for policy reason. Check email from GitHub Education for notice.

Fix steps:

1. Confirm logged in as correct personal account at github.com/settings/profile
2. Clear cookies for github.com or use incognito
3. Go directly to education.github.com/pack
4. If still redirects to pricing, open Support, GitHub Education category. State: benefits revoked Sep 19, Start application redirects to pricing. Include username.

Do not create a second account. That extends blocks.

I'm experiencing the same issue.

My GitHub Education Student benefits were previously approved but were revoked on June 8, 2026, and my Education Benefits page tells me that I need to reverify my academic status.

However, when I click "Start an application", I am immediately redirected to "github.com/pricing" instead of the Student Education application/reverification form.

I have already tried different browsers and Incognito/private browsing, but the issue remains.

I also tried GitHub Support, but the support flow does not allow me to submit a ticket and redirects me back to the Community.

If anyone from GitHub Education can help reset the application state on my account or provide an escalation route, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for reporting this. Based on the screenshots, your GitHub Education benefits were revoked and the "Start an application" button is redirecting to github.com/pricing instead of the Education application flow.

This behavior is not expected. Since the issue persists across different browsers and in an incognito window, it is unlikely to be caused by cached browser data.

Please try accessing the student application directly through: https://github.com/education/students

If that page also redirects or does not allow you to submit a re-verification request, you will need to contact GitHub Education Support directly, as account-specific eligibility and verification issues can only be reviewed by the GitHub Education team.

When opening the support request, include:

GitHub username: Junaed93
Revocation date: September 19, 2026
Application type: Student
Screenshots showing the Education Benefits page and the redirect to the Pricing page
Confirmation that the issue occurs in multiple browsers and incognito mode

The support team should be able to investigate why the re-verification flow is unavailable on your account and restore access if appropriate.

Same issue here, still unresolved. Student benefits on my account (ivanange) were revoked on July 13, 2026 for reverification. 'Start an application' links straight to /pricing, and the direct application URL loops back to the benefits page, so I can't reverify at all. My verified school email is on the account and billing info is filled in. I've emailed education@github.com. @github-staff could you please reset the application state on this account? Thanks!
