I wanted to ask why I have this red dot above the GlobaLeaks version. Is it mandatory to update? |

Thank you for your question @matteoperazzolo GlobaLeaks is actively maintained secure software with a clear roadmap. In general, we recommend keeping your system up to date so you benefit from the latest security fixes, corrections, and improvements. That said, it’s always up to each user to decide when to schedule an update, based on their own operational needs and constraints. As developers, we aim to be as transparent as possible about our work: every release is documented, and detailed changelogs are published for each update so users can review what has changed before upgrading: We are also continuously improving our release process. Our current plan is to publish up to four major releases per year, while limiting additional releases to security updates only, in order to reduce unnecessary update frequency while maintaining a high security standard. |
