Where are the files of globaleaks on the server?

Hi,
I installed the Linux vServer (Debian 13), and started Plesk service.
Then I installed Globaleaks like written in the documentation.
I can work on it, I can save things, change the configuration..
Everything seems to work well.

But I cannot find any files, logs, database, directories on the server.
Where can I find them?
Is it a Server thing?
How can I make the files visible?
It might be for security reasons that none can customize the files.
But it is strange not to see anything.
(not via ftp, not via PuTTY)

I am absolutely new to this, so maybe one may have an answer

Thank you for your question.

Globaleaks is intended to be installed on a virtual or dedicated server to be used only for the globaleaks setup.
When installed all its data is in the /var/globaleaks directory.

It does not require plesk and cannot be run side by side with other applications and is

I read the docs, the docs did not help.

When there is no "/var/globaleaks" directory,
not found on SSH ("log file support is not available")

...does this mean there are not enough access rights for me to see the directory?
Can the host change this or shall I change the host?

To install you need root access and install it via SSH.
If you have installed globaleaks and you are able to access as root via SSH, as root you should be bable to see the /var/globaleaks directory.

Hi Giovanni,
I have installed GlobaLeaks and do the configurations by Tor browser so far. I cannot even get my domain connected to GlobaLeaks. Settings for Host, SSL... all that stuff just does not work. In particular "Network", "Sites" settings. I am not used to vServer, I am Webdesigner.

This situation drives me mad - so I would like to ask you if I can hire you for 1-3 hours to get this basics done together?

@karlludwigweise @evilaliv3 Thank you, I think Plesk and its ssl certificate prevented to install SSL on GlobaLeaks settings. I reinstalled the server without Plesk - now it works and I hope it will in future :-)
