running on GKE, version 3.66.1, chart 1.2.15. tried updating to chart 1.3.6, but same error.

postgres table _prisma_migrations doesn't show any incomplete migrations.

This error indicates that the ClickHouse database is in an inconsistent state or a migration file is missing from the application container(1). The version you're running (3.66.1) is too old for the migration files that were added in version 3.99.0(1).

To resolve this issue:

1. Upgrade to version 3.99.0 or newer - The deployment is trying to find migrations that were added in Langfuse v3.99.0(1). Update your langfuse-web container to this version or newer.

2. Clear ClickHouse tables if needed - For a fresh install, you can exec into the ClickHouse container and delete all tables, then restart the langfuse-web pod(1). This clears any "dirty" migration state and allows migrations to re-run cleanly.

3. Check image versions - Ensure your langfuse-web and worker images are on the same version(1).

4. Verify environment variables - If you're using external services, make sure all required environment variables like REDIS_PORT are properly passed to the pods(1).

The issue was resolved in the referenced case by upgrading to the correct version that contains the required migration files(1). Since you're on version 3.66.1, upgrading to 3.99.0 or later should fix the migration error.

@vmohan-zebra This usually happens if you attempt to deploy/start a Langfuse version that is older than a previously running version. Please try to use the latest Langfuse appVersion to resolve this.

Ended up re-deploying everything from a clean namespace.

we have snapshots of the old clickhouse and zookeeper pvcs, but how do we use these to recover?

in the gcp console - create snapshot from existing pvc. snaps were taken while the app was down.

Unfortunately, we cannot support on the restore procedure for vendor-specific functionality.

I would attempt to recreate a deployment from the snapshots and then selectively move data using pgdump or similar.
