Bitchat for Burners and Festivals

Hey Jack,
I love the bitchat concept, and I’d love to help spread the word across places like AfrikaBurn and Burning Man. I was surprised nobody, even tech people, knew about it at Burning Man last year.

I know this is a tiny weekend project for you, but I think it’s worth pushing it in these next 2 weeks. AfrikaBurn is from April 27 to May 3 I think it’s prime time now :)

Interesting, tell me more! I'm sure this would be super useful in third world countries and is perhaps the number one use case, tied with catastrophic scenarios like hurricanes, floods, earthquakes.

Close second would be generic cyber security which is probably less considered by your average joe and I'm not well versed enough to know how safe it really is (I remember reading there were some safety issues).

But I think marketing to these festival goers would be a great way to create a base.
While we're only talking about a few thousand people (10-15k AfrikaBurn from mostly across SA and Europe and 80-100k Burning Man from mostly US) I think it would be useful to plant a seed in people who experience first hand how it works and can be the first few "nodes" of the networks once they're back in their regular lives
