Absolute value bar spacing when rendering pdf via typst

Description

I am writing a document in RStudio (Quarto 1.9.36). The following inline equiation renders poorly:

Inline equation: $\ln(\langle|\psi_6|\rangle)$.

Here is how it is rendered:

I have tried abs( ) and \abs( ). but neither worked.

@PhilShea Could you share a small self-contained "working" (reproducible) example to work with, i.e., a complete Quarto document or a Git repository? The goal is to make it as easy as possible for us to recreate your problem so that we can fix it: please help us help you! Thanks.
Could you also be explicit about what "poorly" means? Your screenshot is not taken from the line you showed.

Note that current Quarto CLI stable version is 1.10.19.

You can share a self-contained "working" (reproducible) Quarto document using the following syntax, i.e., using more backticks than you have in your document (usually four ````).

If you have multiple files (and if it is absolutely required to have multiple files), please share as a Git repository.

Thanks for your help. It might be the version; I pasted your example, but this rendered as:

I also just received a message to update RStudio, so I'll close everything, update everything, and see what happens.

As LaTeX-style equations are translated by Pandoc to Typst.
it's very likely this glyph issue was fixed on Pandoc side (or eventually Typst).

I just updated Quarto, and that fixed it. I've yet to update RStudio. Thanks again for your help!
