How do Postgres queries get validated?

DISCLAIMER: New to Supabase open-source, hoping to contribute sooner or later!

I'm currently taking a look at this issue and decided to looking into how Postgres database queries get validated in Supabase. After some digging, I narrowed it down to supabase/studio/stores/pgmeta/MetaStore.ts on Line 243 where it has the following:

The URL being used here seems to be structured as ${API_URL}/pg-meta/${projectRef}/query/validate. The pg-meta reference here seemed to indicate something related to the supabase/postgres-meta repository, so I started looking in that direction but couldn't find any reference of a validate endpoint. Am I looking in the wrong direction? Any help appreciated!

EDIT: Forgot to include this, I think the answer is somewhere in this file, but I think I have a lack of understanding on the libraries used here to understand where the validation comes into play.
