Make table/function/etc editor prompt before closing

Would it be possible to either use a different UI element for the editors, or prompt before closing if there are unsaved changes?

Accidentally clicking on the scrim causes the editor to close and loses all unsaved changes without notice. Depending on OS, it's easy to click on the scrim when the window is unfocused when bringing it into focus.
